could someone give some info on what happened to steven when he was a kid and what happened to the man who abducted him? also what exactly his brother did? thanks! also no links please if you need out side info please copy and paste. 10 pts to the best one

The brother was convicted of killing 4 women in Yosemite several years back. I thought I remembered something about putting them in the trunk of a car or their car being found, but I can't be sure. Anyway, he confessed and was sentenced to death. He's still on death row working on appeals.

Found the info on the trunk - 2 of the bodies were found burned the trunk of their rental car.

Steven was kidnapped as a young child and kept in custody of Kenneth Parnell. The kidnapper molested him repeatedly and from what I remember of the movie, once Parnell kidnapped another boy and started to molest him, Steven and the boy made a run for it and escaped. Steven was played by Corin "corky" Nemic of "The Stand" miniseries and "Parker Lewis Can't Lose". Steven's molester/kidnapper was convicted of kidnapping. Steven died in a motorcycle accident when his movie of the week aired in 1989. Parnell was released from jail in 1985 from his terms stemming from this kidnapping. He was re-arrested in 2003 for trying to "buy" a child for $500.

Steven Stayner was kidnapped as a child and did not turn up for a number of years, about 8 or so, until he was a teenager. His brother was convicted of murdering four people in and around Yosemite National Park. He beheaded one of them. As for the guy who kidnapped Steven, I assume he was tried and convicted of the kidnapping.
