I say go for it, legal age is 17 here.

It seems OK to me. When I was 17, my first real girlfriend was 14. It was great!

There is a significant difference between the maturity levels of a 17 year old and a 14 year old. He should be looking at dating someone a bit older than 14. Any age over 16 would be more than likely emotionally equipped to deal with the issues of a relationship a young man in his late teens.

a million. they're the two nonetheless little ones 2. All of this 'sexually lively' enterprise. maximum 14 300 and sixty 5 days previous women interior the united kingdom on my own are already lively by this age so what distinction does it make if the 17 300 and sixty 5 days previous boy has a intercourse tension? If it is not compelled then there is not any difficulty. 3. the only element struggling with them being mutually is dad and mom who view this as 'incorrect' and that i can't argue against as I grew up with strict dad and mom I say choose for it. Love is love

In this kind of situation, it's not necessarily about the age difference. It's about the maturity level. 14 year old girls are still VERY immature. A 17 year old should not be getting involved. Not only that but it is ILLEGAL.

About your additional posts: If you did NOT want to hear what people had to say about this then stop asking questions in which you might not get the response you want. You may see the situation one way, but when a majority of people are saying the same things, maybe you should actually listen to the answers. If that doesn't satisfy you, why don't you go to the local police station and ask them what they think about your situation.

she is only 14 that is the problem he maybe 17 and legal but she is not .. If he likes her so much then he should wait til she is old enough. Your not really a good friend because even though legal age is 17 her parents may not see it that way and they could have charges brought against him . did you ever think of that when you told your friend to go for it

There has to be less than 2 years of difference between the couple if either is under 18. It's the law, and it's illegal because he can more easily take advantage of her and they don't even live in the same world.

Tell him to grow up and find someone his own age.
This is how pedophilia starts.

Depends in which country you're in; but if either party is below the legal age then there definately IS a problem.

Any physical activity has the potential of becoming statutory rape - whether the younger part makes a complaint or not.

Definately not kosher - as everybody knows.

The age issue has been imposed by a patriarchal society to oppress women and the young and impose an artificial set of rules as a means of social control thereby denying the sexual rights of young people. I would suggest that if the relationship is not coercive and one individual is not in a position of power over the other they should date.

At 17, you are more closer to 21 and you've experienced more...sexually and emotionially....at 14, you might be physically mature looking but you're naive...guys will take advantage of you.

He really needs to look to girls his own age for dates, obviously he has different interests and expectations in a dating relationship than the 14yo is emotionally prepared to offer. There's a reason it's illegal when he turns 18yo.

Tell yourself whatever you need to, it's still not right and you can't talk me into thinking it is!
