Stay away from any wine in a box.....eeeeew.

Try a burgandy or beaujoilais. You can't go wrong with Chateau Neuf de Pape.
Always a hit.

Many of the wines Florida Dawn listed are white wines.

Depends upon the price range!

For an inexpensive yet palatable claret, I personally like Rothschild Mouton Cadet Bordeaux, a Ruffino Chianti, or a Louis Jadot Nouveau Beaujolais.

I personally love Penfolds Shiraz here is some basic information on flavor:

Bright and juicy, a claret-style blend of Cabernet and Shiraz that lets its blackberry and currant flavors glow on a supple core, lingering nicely on the velvety finish.

I love cabernet sauvignon. Pinot noir is nice too. Chianti is a good red wine.

You can't go wrong with Yellowtail...

Don't know exactly what you are looking for, dry, sweet or somewhere in the middle. If you want something with a lot of flavor, not too expensive, not sickening sweet but not so dry it makes you shudder, try Lambrusco. It is delicious!!!
