Three years ago, my grandfather (whom was, and still is, my favorite relative) was bedridden because he was rapidly approaching his death. When I went to see him, he was in terrible shape. It was as if he had aged 10 years in just a month...
The second night I stayed at his house, I had a weird dream that had some dude with light-brown hair and crystal blue eyes tell me that grandad was in good company. Confused, I awoke in late the next afternoon and could not see grandad because my other relatives wouldn't let me for some reason.
Later on that night, my mom began to cry and tell me that her dad (grandad) claimed he saw an angel earlier. Curious, I asked what he looked like. She said that grandad had seen a man with "hair like wheat" and "eyes like water" visit him when she was seeing him earlier that day. I then asked if she saw or heard the angel. Her reply was "no, but he said that he'll be in good company."

Yeah, I was about 11 years old living in a two room safe haven with my sister and my mom and I was having a nightmare. I woke up from the nightmare only to feel like the entire room was pressing on my chest and suffocating me. I felt an overwelmingly negative feeling in the room and when I looked up into the corner I saw a figure of some kind with yellowish red eyes that was hovering over my sisters bed. I was petrified with fear, and imediately started praying (even tho im not a christian or anything) I felt the need to just pray. It took about 5 minutes for the feeling to completely go away and then the room seemed normal again. It was the most scared Ive ever been in my life and im usually not scarable....

I feel it is my obligation to share that I have had a visit from a deceased loved one. I surely would want to know that the soul certainly does go on after this life here on earth. So here goes...My mother was unconscience in a hospital bed hooked up to a breathing device that was helping her stay alive. On the day that I asked the doctors to remove the breathing tube, I asked my mother to somehow contact me and let me know that she was alright. I was sure that she could hear me, and knowing what a close special relationship we had I was sure that if there was any possibililty at all of her contacting me, she would. Two months later I had gone to bed and quite honestly I hadn't even thought of her that day, it was a busy day and I just hadn't had time to relax and think about much of anything. Anyway, I went to bed, about 6:00am in the morning during a time of limbo, between being asleep and being awake, a big bright ball of light/energy appeared with my mother's face in it. I heard her telepathically(in my head) say, "hi honey, I'm alright", and then her face faded and another woman's face appeared for just a split second and then the whole ball of light disappeared and I sat up in bed with a huge smile on my face. I remember the first thing I thought was how wierd, I heard her talking in her voice, but I didn't hear her with my ears, I heard her in my head, my first experience with telepathy. As a matter of fact, my first experience with anything unusual at all. She indeed found a way to contact me and tell me that she was alright. What I took away from this experience, was not religious, after all she didn't say anything about heaven or even being with my father or sister who have also passed. She simply said that she was alright, and somehow in that energy that it took her to reach me, she traveled with someone else, a woman that I certainly have never seen before. I got the distinct feeling that It was not easy for her to reach me, like it took a lot of energy....Everything is made up of energy, and it seems that our souls do go on in the form of a ball of energy/light. I feel this experience was amazing, and I love to share this experience with others. Thanks for letting me share!

Okay, well, this didn't actually happen to me, and I'm not gonna lie and said it did. So, anyway, my friend Mark went to visit Gettysburg with his buddy and they went for a nice, leisurely stroll in Devil's Den around lunchtime. They start walking and bulls***ting, both kind of looking around at the scenery and musing, and Mark began to tell a long story, and he says that, as he was telling it, he saw his buddy out of the corner of his eye, wearing his (baseball) cap, walking along next to him with his head down, watching the treacherous ground, and nodding as he listened to the story. About ten minutes passed and Mark finished his story and turned to his buddy to see his reaction, and when he looks, there's no one beside him.
He jumped and looked around him and, lo and behold, his buddy's running to catch up, apologizing for running out on his boring story, but he had to pee over in the brush. Mark, a scientist and level-headed person, still swears he was talking to a young man in a blue hat, like his friend's, who was keeping pace with him, and listening patiently to his story. Not surprising, considering the energy that must surround that deadly pass.
This one did happen to me - I work as an English language teacher in Slovakia, and I have classes with many working adults, so I sometimes finish late at night, around 8. I work in one school in an old hotel that always makes me feel uncomfortable when I'm alone in it. Then, finally, one night I saw something which confirmed my suspicions. The entrance to the school is through a patterned paned-glass door on the fourth floor, and there is a long hallway down to the classrooms.
So one night I closed up and was walking down the hallway to the door, and I felt like someone was gonna put their key in and come through, like one of the other teachers or owners, and I slowed down. Whoever it was kept walking quickly up to the door and I could see their dark outline just on the other side of the glass. I began to put my keys away and came up to the door, and stopped, waiting for them to open it. When they didn't, I hesitantingly opened the door, and the shadow stepped out of the way to let me pass, and the door was pulled out of my hand as they held it open for me. I said, "dakujem pekne" (thank you very much/nicely) and peeked around the door to see who it was, but there wasn't anyone there. The corridor and hallway were both well-lit and I am absolutely sure there was someone on the other side of that door, as sure as I felt the knob gently pulled away from me. I jumped away and the door swung wide, and I just managed to shut it after me and frantically punch the button for the elevator, which was mercifully only a floor below. I almost tore down the stairs, but realized I was more afraid of being caught in the darkness when the power-saving lights went out in mid-flight. I recovered okay and didn't feel anything malicious, but I don't like to be there alone, just for the sake of my blood pressure.
