I want to get hair extensions that will go half way down my back.

Are they painful to put in, and to have?

and for the one of the people who answered, I'm white.

Be careful, some places will do tracks, and some will do individuals, individuals are more expensive and "natural" but can make your hair look really wierd. They don't hurt thought

I have had several hair extensions. I actually put hair extensions in other peoples hair, I'm a hair sylist and Master hair braider. If you are real tender-headed you may want to pop a Tylenol or two, but the pain should be gone the next day, or after taking a hot bath, let the steam hit your scalp, a lot of my customers say that helps, or place a hot washcloth on the tender areas. Plus I have one customer who drenched her scalp in alcohol or sea breeze. You will love your hair extensions, very versatrile, especially if you not use to that lenght of hair. If you was in Atlanta you ought to let me sew it in, but I don't know where you're at. Make sure you purchase some good quality hair also, you don't want no real cheap hair that sheds and tangles easily. One more advice buy a good wig brush and always brush from the bottom up.

I have had them, they don't hurt only when putting in the tracks the person might pull too tight braiding them, I don't know if you are black or white, your hair type will determine how tight they are done. Fusion(individual strands hot glued in) is better, expensive, looks really natural if you get quality hair not the cheap stuff and done by a pro I recommend that, you may get burned by clumbsy stylist but other than that there is no pain. Your 1st night with them your head might be sore(sensitive) putting on your pillow when trying to sleep

Yes-but only get Great Lengths. They are the best-all the celebs get these! I love them but they are very expensive. These don't damage your hair because they are not sewn or glued in-they bond them with protein bonds. I get them done about every 41/2 month and they cost me about $1300.00 each time. This is actually a good deal.

I get so many compliments on "my hair" its not even funny.

I recommend getting them only if you can afford Great Lengths and also, keep in mind they are addictive. Good luck

They're somewhat painful to put in, but the worst is sitting and getting them done. It's vey time consuming. They're not painful to have though.
