well you could improve their sales by keeping clean, being very kind, also you could talk about the clothes/store allot after work, you could pretend to be a customer or have some one else be a customer that appears to be extremely amazed by the clothes, also you could put a 25% or any percent sale sign up but don't really have a sale just make them think you are but don't let the sale last too long only for about 3 weeks or people wont be in a hurry to come and shop.
I hope you can use my advise well if not that's OK thank you for reading goodbye and have a nice day.

I would analyze any specific purchase increases that have occurred during the past year. Find out the cause of the increases due to sales, fads, advertising, or particular staffing. Customer service is key to closing the sale, but you need to bring in customers to get the chance of closing the sale.
Also for clothes sales, know your demographics of the people you are selling to. Trendy for young people. Clothes that will make older people look younger, etc. etc.

To answer it we would have to see the store and evaluate what the might be doing wrong. Maybe personal attention to customers? More competitive prices? Private label clothing you can't buy just anywhere? Promotions? Better customer service in general with less waiting at checkout?

Ask yourself: would YOU shop at that store? Think hard why you don't buy all your clothes from them. Then make suggestions on how to improve those things.

I would change out the displays with new exciting iitems and make sure I freshen them up as seasonality changes..I would also make some festive interactional display for fron t window to attract customers to Store...have popular music playing at all times and even sponsor a local runway show to present the garments in highlighted way....of course having proper inventory of hot items in stock in high traffic areas would help too!!

Having worked at Nordstrom, we were told that each customer can be upsold. They are coming in for clothing, so you pretty much know what they want. Once you have them talking to you, you have the oppertunity to see what they need. If they need a new suit, for example, for an interview, you would want to suggest new shoes, so that their looked is well pulled together. Or if they are holding something already, you take the opppertunity to show them Items that compliment or ar similar to what they are looking at.

by taking the time to assist each customer and providing my positive opinion on how the clothing looks on them. by keeping the clothing on the racks neatly and by size so they are easily found in size and color. and by being the best employee as possible by only talking positive about the store and it's products.

Its doubtful that I could, sorry. I would hire somebody who spends more than $200 a year on clothing instead.
