Wendy's as in the fast food resturant...

I remember when Wendy's did try and break into the English fast food market; their restaurants suddenly sprang up everywhere, but nobody was very impressed. Their style was rather old-fashioned, especially compared to the other American fast food restaurants that were targeting the younger market and looking much better overall. Eventually they closed down all their restaurants. The same thing happened to Subway about five years ago, but they tried again less than 2 years ago - this time, partnering up with Internet cafes, and they've become incredibly successful this time around.

They didn't do very well over here. I recall trying to go into Wendy's on Oxford St London about 7 years ago and one of the staff was locking the door - he told me they were closing down.

There was one near me too in North London but it shut down about 10 years ago. I think the franchise died out and the restaurants were sold on to other chains

Because we're overrun with MacDonalds no room left for competition. On the other hand, who needs all these fast food places selling crap food.

Ask yourself - do you really need another fast-food low-paying gloop selling instant mass produced aspartimine serving hell hole adding to the others who push this rubbish down the throats of our children and are responsible for obesity and heart disease?

I am sure you have some resturants that we don't here in the U.S.

Also here in the U.S. some states will have one resturaunt and another wont..

they usually put resturaunts where they think they will make alot of money.
