I have shoulder length wavy hair and I want to control it without using gel because gel loses its hold and is too stiff, and mousse gives me too much volume and not enough hold. I've been using pomade and it works okay, but is there anything else? thank you!

Sometimes I use a little bit of hairspray. When I straighten my hair, I straighten it, spray hairspray on my brush, brush my hair, then spray hair spray in my hair and brush it again. It almost always holds for me and it isn't stiff or greasy looking.

John Freida makes a great hair serum that makes you hair soft and manageable and reduses frizz. You can get the John Freida line in most department stores including WalMart.

i do this with my clients, mix some of that pomade you have with some gel in your hand....it keeps it soft but gives hold. make sure to use small amounts and section your hair (bottom and top) for even distribution, and use a very wide toothed comb to comb through.

I have found a great solution, it really does work!
After shampooing condition as normal then dry of with a towel and then put some conditioner on your hair and leave it in for perfect results.
someone in Boots told me and its great and a lot cheaper than styling products.
its worth a go

Una forma muy practica de hacerlo es poñendote crema de peinar (NO es crema de enjuague) después de que te bañes, agarrate el pelo y levantatelo apretálo y eso te lo deja ondulado y se te mantiene firme.

I use tresemme curling milk formy waves. I rub this thru my hair, diffuse, then spritz w/ hairspray and my waves are nice and soft, not crunchy or heavy! Love it!
