You could, but it wouldn't be easy, and it probably wouldn't taste very good.

FYI, the typical carving pumpkin is not the same type that is used for pie, and usually doesn't taste good even when it's cooked.

If you want an eating pumpkin, look for the variety called "sugar pumpkin"...they're much sweeter than the others.

Easiest way to cook a pumpkin is either to peel it and slice the flesh into one inch cubes, bake in the oven until tender, then process in a blender until smooth, or cut the top off, scoop out the seeds, put the entire pumpkin on a cookie sheet and put in the oven until the flesh is tender. Serve in chucks as a squash dish with butter & cinnmon or puree it and bake a pie.

Yeah you can eat pumpkin without cooking it. It will be you just want to eat the meat off the sides and it will have the texture of squash and be sweet or sour depending on the pumpkin.

Yes, it tastes like a softer sweet potato.

Don't eat the skin.

You can always cook pumpkin in wedges like you could with a large squash.

Hmmmnn...cinnamon and butter.

Tried it raw once and didn't like it but I do like pumpkin when cooked just like any other in the squash family. My way of cooking would be to stuff it with your favorite hamburger mixture and bake it. I did that many time with all kinds of squash.

particular. First, on account which you could eat the internal area of a pumpkin sparkling from the plant, then this is okay to eat it uncooked. 2d, the canning technique kills off micro organism by way of exposing it to warmth.
