it's CHIQUITO, comes from chico that means small and it's its diminutive.

Girls sometimes use it with their boyfriends, it's a sweet word, to show affection...
not because you're little or a kid...it's just a nice word,

you can call her chiquitA :)

Chiquito means little boy, or little guy, yes, but it's a term of endearment, most likely, and not an insult. Spanish online translators are pretty much useless! Why didn't you just ask her what it meant?

the literal explanation of que te cuentas doesn't make sence in english. the best way to explain it this this cuentas comes from this word cuento= Story means like what can you tell me. if you haven't seen a person for a while. it comes close to saying what's up, what's new? because they are asking you to tell them a "story" of what's happened to you. if my friend comes up to me ans says Qué te cuentas? i would answer, "nothing, i've just been here at home." hope you can understand this.... ps. it doesn't just go for spain. latin americans use it too

Your friend is calling you a little boy (but in a friendly way). It's not a bad thing.

BTW... it's chiquito.

Chico means "boy" and the suffix "-ito" means "little" or "small". So he is calling you a little boy.
