Anytime I do any physical activity involving my knee, i.e. running, walking, football, basketball; the following day and the consequent 3-4 days, my right knee hurts, it feels like a pounding, like its gonna explode, I dont have medical insurance so I pick and choose when to go to the doctors and I was wondering if anyone out there might have an opinion on what you think it might be

You need to see a doctor, you may have torn the meniscus. In the meantime, RICE, rest - ice- compression - elevation. That means stay off of it.

All your activity is exerting tremendous force on your joints, try swimming instead of running for now.
How old are you? Some of this may be age related.
If ordinary walking alone brings on that level of pain, I strongly suggest you find some way to see a medical professional.

I'd go to the doctor. You may have a bone spur or something else that needs attention. He may just tell you to take alleve, but then again you might need a prescription or further tests.

wish i could help ,but I am without a doctor also when I need medical advice I ask the doctor at the cvs

Go to the doctor now. A visit and tests are expensive, but you can't afford to become disabled.
