My nephew has this also, it is just sun spots, he gets his every summer because he gets really tanned from being outside and he is also 7 years old, my sister in law is a nurse and says there is nothing you can do about it, she does put lotion on his face because it seems to get dry and that helps it. Use Sunscreen

It's a fungus disease called tinea versicolor.
His doctor can prescribe him a fungal creme against it...I believe I used clotrimazole. It took forever...about six months. When using an anti fungal creme you will feel like it's getting worst. At some point you just have to stop the treatment...but use it for quite some time first, because if you don't it will come back again and again. I also had to use something that was similar to a dandruff shampoo (selsun blue)- but it was a prescribed lotion with the same ingredient and maybe not as strong ...it was pink in color....all that made my skin turn red...but I stuck with it and after a while I stopped and just waited for the color to come back. It's been 5 years...it never came back...thank God! It makes you feel so ugly. Good luck...and patience....the white spots will turn red during treatment, but continue applying the creme anyway....or maybe you can get the oral fungal treatment for your son. Tell him it's temporary...stop using anything on his face that's oily, because the fungus feeds on the oil.

could be a number of things...probably either a lack of calcium, fungal activty on skin (which leads to peeling...even long after the tan).

consult a dematologist for the real answer.

His skin is damaged. You need to apply sun screen to his face everytime he goes out.

Hopefully he doesn't have Vitiligo, you should take him to see his pediatrician.
