Hiya all!

I'm a little confused, I am not christian, I am open mindind, and so I don't really know the Bible that well. But, I do however need to know about Adam and Eve, according to Catholics.

I was really hoping that I could get some help with this please, and where the best place is to look to get a detailed explination of Adam and Eve.

Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated ;-)

Read his , see this will help.

19 And after Adam and Eve had partaken of the forbidden fruit they were driven out of the garden of Eden, to till the earth.
20 And they have brought forth children; yea, even the family of all the earth.
21 And the days of the children of men were prolonged, according to the will of God, that they might repent while in the flesh; wherefore, their state became a state of probation, and their time was lengthened, according to the commandments which the Lord God gave unto the children of men. For he gave commandment that all men must repent; for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents.
22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.
23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.
24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.
27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.

You can not be open minded if your mind is devoid of any information. Want to know about Eve and Adam try reading the bible. Genesis would be a good place to start. Make note that when this god created Adam. He had warned him not to eat from the tree with the knowledge of good and evil. Note, that the story (and that is just what it is) says that this god told adam the rule ,not to eat ferom the tree of inlightenment. There is nowhere in this silly fairytale that tells us that Eve was ever warned of this funky rule of this god. Therefore she was innocent, but everyone still blamed her for all of mans future sinns. Even Adam ,when asked by this god adam finked on his lady, not man enough to admit he never told her of the rule.. Eve and Adam are make believe like all else in the bible. Myth that was easy for the people of that era to believe. The same kind of brain that believed the world was flat, but just because they all believed it didn't make it so did it? So when you read the story of Eve and Adam, try to remember it was a story,no truth,no proof,no eye witness. No **** . Eve and Adam had two children. Cain and Abel. Cain slew Abel, then was sent of to the land of Nod. There it is written he lay with his wife and gave birth to more children, Question , Where did his wife come from? How did she get into the picture. Answer Imangination. The whole bible is Imangination.

You can read everything anyone knows about Adam and Eve in probably one hour or less by reading the first book in the Bible, which is called Genesis, chapters one thru five.

Here is a link to it:

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gen%201-5&version=31

If that link does not work use this link:

http://www.biblegateway.com

Then type into the search box, without the quotes:

"Genesis 1-5"

That site gives you a choice of more than a dozen English langague translations to choose from plus many foreign langages as well.

Catholics do not teach from the KJV bible. That is where you are going to find out about Adam and Eve. Start in Genesis 1, and go on from there.

The Bible just isn't that hard to read Guy. I'd sure start with one.

Become a Bible student Guy. You will not regret it.

Start with two things. A Bible and a really good concordance.
No, start with three things, a Bible, good concordance, and a good bible dictionary like my Nelson's quick reference dictionary.

Next thing you, you'll be getting good.

the story is in the very beginning of the bible--if you want to look it up. basically, they are the first two humans created by god, according to christianity. god made eve from adam's rib. god told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge. the devil, disguised as a snake, convinced eve to eat from the tree. she, intern, convinced adam. they were both kicked out of the garden of eden for doing so. the garden is suppose to be heaven on earth. after eating the apple, they both realized all their flaws and shames. they were naked before and didn't care, and, now, they are ashamed of their nudity.

The Bible, WOULD be the BEST place to study, but you have to go in believing everything you read is 100% true or you will get nothing out of it.
