plan your workout

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

work out 5 days a week but here is the whole trick: bring a work out buddy so you do not get bored while you work out. one day do abs and cardio, the next day do work on your bi's,tri's, legs, etc. give your body part that you just worked out 24 hours to rest before you work it our again. do cardio-mine is 30 min. on the treadmill- then do squats, lunges-15 reps/set and try to do 5 sets. for the abs use a ball, a mat, anything that you find that works for you: i use the mat for doing ab work with my feet up in the air at 45 degree angles, and a mediceine ball between my legs-start with a 3 pound ball then gradually increase the weight.i also do reverse crunches on the mat as well(i do 4 sets of 20 reps=80 crunches per section butyou could do more), and for the bi's and tri's try this trick: bench dips which work your bi's and tri's all at once. ask someone at the gym that you are working out to help you with these if you have no idea what they are. try doing 15-20 at the beg. then increase it to 25-30 reps and if you can do 25-30 reps then you can add a weight between your legs(start with a 5lb one) and still do bench dips. i hope that all the info i gave you helped.
