It usually depends on what time they went to bed. Most 8 month olds should sleep 11-12 hours per night. My son went to bed around 8:00 and got up between 8:00 and 9:00. Whatever you do, try not to let them get up before 6:00.

my 8 month old sleeps from about 6.45pm til 6.45 am (12 hrs) and then sleeps for approx 2 1hr hour naps in the day. I think the average sleep time is 14 hrs for 8 month old babies which is a combination of day and night sleeping. I find the better my daughter sleeps in the day the better she sleeps at night. I know people whose eight month old babies still wake several times in the night. All babies are different

According to my developmental psych class, babies begin to get into a regular schedule by 8 months. That assumes that you've disciplined them to start using a schedule, meaning that sometimes you have to let them cry when you know they aren't hungry or dirty in the middle of the night.

It depends on when he/she goes to bed! My son slept 12 hours each night, so if we put him down at 7 p.m., he slept until 7 a.m.! It was wonderful! God bless!!!
