eat 5 small meals a day and exercise, a lot. If you do 1 hour of cardio either on the bike or on the treadmill followed up with weight training you should see results.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

so you need to lose 50 pounds in three months not real healthy. but first things first what are you eating right now. how much fat are you consuming and how much fiber. you only need like 1200~1400 abouts to keep your body alive so lay out your diet first and get that going. no more if any fast food. no more sugary snacks no more sugared soda. then you need to be burning a lot of calories so go get a pedometer and hit the road. do 5 miles a day as fast as you can. you should be able to do it in 75 minutes to start but if you can bring it down to 50 minutes your on your way and if you can run it in 40 minutes your real good. then you need to add at least a half hour of weights to your routine for body tone. look for good alaround workouts arms day 1 shoulders day 2 back stomach day 3 legs day 4 rest then start over very your routine and well its gonna fel like punishment for a little while but it will pay off and by the time you go through that trial you may not even need to have surgery.

I lost over 50 pounds in four months doing the following. Easy to understand (eat less and exercise) but difficult to get started.

Stop eating snack foods: chips, crackers, candy, pretzels, etc. Try to avoid places where you usually find these out in the open (a coworker's candy dish, grocery candy aisles, tv parties, etc.).

Stop drinking anything but diet soda, coffee (black) and water. Drink lots and lots of water to fill your stomach and help you eliminate waste better.

Keep breads and sugars to a minimum. Avoid bagels, croissants, pasta, croutons, etc. Also avoid cheeses and milk.

Count your calories, keep track of everything you eat, and reduce calories by a couple hundred every day if possible.

Just about all I ate for that time (and even now that i'm used to it) are apples, carrots, salad (no dressing, use seasoning instead), granola bars, low fat yogurt, rice cakes, and lots of sugarless chewing gum.

Get a used treadmill and force yourself to begin a simple routine. Put it near your TV and watch half an hour of a movie every morning before work while walking briskly on the treadmill. Pretty quickly you'll feel much better physically and emotionally, and kick-start your metabolism.

The first couple of weeks will be very hard, fighting cravings and feeling hopeless. Take it day by day, hour by hour, and don't fall for your mind's tricks to "cheat just once and make up for it later."

***ASK A DOCTOR BEFORE DOING ANYTHING - in fact take this idea to your Dr. and ask him or her what they think!
*****************************************************

OK. Don't panic!

Forget the BS-Crap diets that people will force on you and they you will (or have already) try out of desparation.

You may not like what I have to say, but becasue of my job I give this advice all the time (career saving advice).

RUN - if you can't run WALK: You need to do cardio 3-4 times a week minimum - more if you can! You should get your heart rate up and keep it there for 30 minutes at least.

What to eat: forget about diets, but read the south beach diet books and and check out the website. The glycemic index is what's important. How your body turns sugar carbs into stored fats.

How much to eat: small portions. everytime you're hungry. Eat somthing healthy (South beach.com can help with ideas). DON'T STUFF YOUR SELF.

The bottom line - stick to it!!!

If you do a quick diet, loose the weight, then get the tummy tuck you will just gain the weight back in a couple of months and have waisted the money. You have to change your lifestyle and permanently change the way that you eat. Once you loose the weight and maintain the weight off then you should do the surgery.

p.s. my dad got lipo and now he's fatter then ever so I know what I'm talking about.

You can't lose 50 lbs in 3 months.

Trying to lose any large amount of weight in a short amount of time is NOT HEALTHY for you. Better to get a larger dress for the wedding than to do something that will hurt your health long-term.

losing that much weight so fast is bad on and your entire system. it will be stressful to you also. cabbage soup diet adds a lot of gas in your system and you will feel bloated and let gas a lot. you need to ask your Dr. for a good nutritional diet. he may even tell you it is not recommended losing so much weight so soon. your sisters wedding is important to you ,but your health is more. if you cant wear what you want to the wedding .it will be okay . your sister will be happy to see you no matter what you wear.
