You'll have variety if you come to Niagara Falls, There is Fallsview Casino Resort, they have the Avalon Showroom (INXS, Micheal Buble, Blues Brothers, soon to be Alice Cooper, have or will play there. Tickets at Ticketmaster. Then on the actual gaming floor there is the Splash Bar, where there are live bands everyday, weekends they start early and during the week they start at 6. Then there is the 365 Club where it is more of a lounge atmosphere there is something different going on in there each night. Either a jam night or trivia, on the weekends it gets rammed in there for some of the talent they get through there. Saturday by 10 a wait for sure to get in.
Casino Niagara has Yuk Yuks, which is a comedy club if you ar not from here, they are all over kinda like a Funny Bone or Improv type of deal, the shows run Th-Sa, pretty cheap too. They also have some live entertainment going on. On the second floor they have the Quench bar....where you can get your fill of some bottle flipping bartenders, they also have some of the radio stations live to air there.
If you are looking for shows just in general we have another comedy club called the house of comedy, we have the Canada Eh? Dinner show. The other responder was correct with the Dragonfly Nite Club, it has the most state of the art sound system on the continent and lighted ceiling to go with the beats of the tunes, they also are one of the only places with bottle service....meaning you can buy the whole bottle of vodka, rum, etc.
If you stay close enough or in the casino, you can find pretty much anything.....food (pub, burgers, diner, italian, snacks, asian, steakhouse) shopping (toys, purses, swim suits, shoes, accesories, watches, clothes, art, souvieniers)
Some places around that are close to Fallsview are: Presidents Motor Inn, I pass it on my way to work and it advertises Jacuzzi's and there rooms start at 49 bucks....they are full all summer, so it can't be a bad place. Then there is a new Comfort Inn I think, it was a family place before (Horseshoe Inn....try googling that and it should bring you to it) they are relatively cheap and close to everything. The off season is cheap anywhere, so call around.
There is plenty to do though once you get here, lots of nature stuff, wine, sightseeing, history you name it you can find it here.
have fun if you come ;)

You'd probably like Casino Rama in Rama Ontario, which is in northern Ontario. Just yahoo CasinoRama and they'll put you on the right website.
You might also like the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They have shows in the major ballroom as well as other bands in other venues and you get a great look at Niagara Falls. There's also the original casino in Niagara Falls but it has no entertainment.
So many places to visit in Niagara, this time of year. Grape and Wine Festival starts this weekend, Balls Falls has some beautiful scenery when the trees turn in early October.
If you yahoo the Fallsview Casino I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know.

Nowhere near you, but I know Lac Leamy in Hull-Gatineau (across the river from Ottawa) has shows. Have you ever thought about going to Atlantic City, NJ?
