Although it depends on the languages and your profession you could make a niche for yourself. I know of a psychologist that speaks fluent spanish. He is one of only a few in the area that are bilingual. Because of this he has more work than he can handle. He has a good contract with the state for juvenile dilinquints because of his skills. I know of another person that speaks Mandarin. She is the only psychologist in this state and at least 2 other neighboring states that speaks it. I hear that she can ask her price for services. In the business world everything is international now. The ability to speak multiple languages is a great asset. If you are in the right business in the right area you too could name your price. If you really want money look into international law or business. If you want to help people look into education, psychology, social work, they all need multi-lingual people.
