In reality I have seen a person who does this daily. She has been cussed at, spit at, called all sorts of names one should never call a lady, ect. And she smiles at them one and all, Thank you for your honesty go in peace. Blessed be, Thats all she says. The same people come back to her when they need help and have no where else to turn. They need food or a bill paid and really have no reeason for thinking she should help them considering. She just smiles and says, Welcome back, what may I help you with today? This puzzles them all. Dont you remember me is the most asked question. Of course she does she tells them, they gave her their honest opinion, nothing more. And she repeats how may I help. They will tell her and she will do what ever it is, pay the rent, pay the lights, get them food or clothes. This will leave them further puzzled and 9 out of 10 gets a comment about how she is doing Christain work, but she is Wiccan. She just laughs and tells them, peace and kindness know not a single faith, go in peace. Blessed Be.She would never kill anyone even if she knew they were going to kill her first. She would just tell them she understood they had to do what it is in thier nature to do. That is the best person I can think of for making it into reality.

This is The islamic concept about neighbourhood..
Islam is calling for peace and good morals. When prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) said these words , he didn't say muslim neighbour but he said your neighbour. In Islam it's not good that your neighbour , whatever his/her religion , is afraid of you or feeling that you are going to harm him.
So always you should treat all people in a good way wheather you love or not , you agree with or not .Even your enemy as long as you are not sure he/she is going to kill you.Soliders in the war land are not like people not in war.And remember that Isalm is asking us to treat our enemies in a good way as this will change them and make them your friends in stead.

It can be applied by applying hte Golden Rule, Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. Basically treat others as you would want to be treated.

If I was in a fight, I would want the other person to be fighting back, otherwise it wouldn't be right for me to kill them.

I would expect them to be fighting back, and thus would be doing unto others as I would expect them to do unto me.

As far as loving your neighbor, this goes beyond the way we generally interpret the word love. It means respecting all person as a child of God. The "love thy neighbor" thing really doesn't apply as clearly as you'd think. If you are really interested in understanding more about war as it relates to religious concepts, consider doing some research on something called "The Just War Theory" or more broadly the concept of a "just war."

If I were in the midst of a Civil War... and my neighbor, who is fighting for the other side, came up to me, bleeding, cold, hungry, and thirsty... I'd bandage his wounds, give him a blanket, a hot meal, and something to drink. I don't care who he is... He is another human being who deserves respect and humanity. If he turns around and kills me for my kindness, so be it. I did my part, and my blood is on his hands.

Because I know that if I were fighting, and I needed help... I would ask someone to help me. But I wouldn't stab them in the back in return, and I could only hope for the best for the person I helped.

I believe that when Christians are fighting in a war, they don't have any choice.
Of course it would be great if no one had to kill, but because this is the way the world is, in a war I don't think it's considered as hate. It is something that we do, unforunately, have to be involved in sometimes, if our country goes to war.

You apply this right where you are. Why think about it in relation to war? Just love the people you see daily, your friends, your family, your co-workers, the cashiers at the store, whomever you meet. That is loving your neighbor.

Some of the biblical teachings are a little abstract and need to be interpreted for their intent. Obviously, you aren't going to appreciate the pedophile living next door. However, you can appreciate and allow differences in people and show them respect and manners.

if we wouldn't start ,fight ,or encourage war that question would not be an issue. I think love your neighbor meanslove ALL neighbors whether they are gonna chop you head off or not because you would have died doing the right thing and you will go to heaven

Fear of life is not the same subject ..
And yes you can Love your neighbor and forgive them for all you may think they have done..Not easy is it? Someone somewhere needs to move the hate to understating
I never thought I would understand this but I had a young woman
I worked with who had been rape She could have been evil in thinking but she gave her hate up and ask GOD to help her with understanding of the man who did it to her . She forgave him and kept the child ...I could not believe how much she taught me and the child of GOD and the relief you had in forgiving the man.
My job with her was to help her through the pregnancy .. Not sure sho helped who but to this day I know she help me alot
