As the bride there's no way you can dress too dressy. I would suggest, though that you dress in a way that distinguishes you from not- wanting- to- be- too- dressy guests...Maybe something that matches in the fabric design with your husband's outfit.

Did you mean outdoor reception? Because you said wedding. So I'm confused. Depending on where you live I'm assuming it's cool in October. Maybe wear the colors of your wedding in a light sweater and black dress pants. Or if you want to go with the fall colors wear brown dress pants if the shirt matches your wedding colors. Or just wear a plain white sweater. And if you still feel too dressy then don't wear jewelry. Don't worry so much about it. I'm sure you'll look great. Congratulations on the wedding!

I would buy a classy white dress. Not a weeding gown but some kind of a cocktail dress, possibly long. Or if you prefer find a white short dress to look sexy. You'll look georgeus.
After all, it's a part of your wedding and it doesn't matter that ceremony was two months ago. You're the bride and bride should wear white.

J. Crew has some nice wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses that are simple yet elegant. Most of the dresses can be altered slightly and worn again, so take a look. If you top the dress with a little cardigan or shawl, it should be perfect!

Wear your wedding gown to the reception. If that isn't possible, wear a nice dress. If it's totally casual, just wear a dress jeans outfit. Be sure to tell your guests that it is going to be very casual so they don't have to over dress either.

Visit www.davidsbridal.com - they have some very pretty "special occasion" dresses that might be appropriate for the event. I would go for a lovely white or ivory dress cocktail or floor length dress. It says "wedding/bride" without being the bride all over again.

Wear a white floor length dress or a short white dress. Or wear something that matches your wedding colors. But make sure you wear something so that people will know that you are the bride.
Congratulations!!

Is the wedding dress not an option??
If not, then the bride has the perogative to wear whatever she wants but a hat or Tiara would give you the edge.

Congratulations..

I would say wear a pretty dress not fancy but nice enough. You dont want to be too casual. It is a reception after all, but its up to you whatever you decide it will be nice
