I believe that salvation cannot be lost. To be able to lose something it is reasoned that we can earn it, and as Christians, we know that salvation was only earned by Christ's death, not by anything we can do.

John 10:26-30 says "that no man shall pluck us from His hand", I believe this means that once we are saved, we are His no matter what anyone does to us, or we do to ourselves.

I believe that we can be saved, but not live a life pleasing to God, and still enter heaven, but as a Christian, we should want to seek His will for our life, and live according to His law.

The bible states more than once that you cannot lose your salvation once it is real in your heart.

That being said, many people seem to heed alter calls and one would think that if they went up there that they are now saved.

But it doesnt work that way. We as humans have no idea if a person other than ourself is saved, because it is a change of heart. We cannot see the heart of another , but God can.

What we generally refer to as lost salvation is really someone who has never felt that inward change in themselves, but thought they were saved because they heeded an alter call. This person might try to start living according to the bible and Gods way, but it cannot last because they never really accepted the inward change and eventually their true heart will come out.

I have been told on more than one occasion that change from the outside inward never works. We must change our hearts, and the outside will follow.

The teaching of loosing your salvation is a fear tactic to keep folks in line.

NOT SO WITH JESUS!!!!

He said you are safe once you have been saved. But make your salvation sure. Examine your self and make sure that God is the one who spoke peace into your heart and not some man who told you you have it after repeating some prayer.

Then use this as an anchor:
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

they take paul's words that say run the race end the course. in case you do no longer end the course you lose you salvation. yet that's no longer what paul substitute into saying no person loses their salvation as quickly as saved. Even jesus mentioned all who the father provides me i won't have the ability to lose yet strengthen it on the final day. John 6:39 And it relatively is the father's will which hath despatched me, that of all which he hath given me I would desire to lose no longer something, yet would desire to strengthen it up back on the final day. this verse says in case you have salvation Jesus won't lose you. maximum have confidence you could walk faraway from salvation. it extremely is likewise a faux coaching. Salvation is a changing journey from the previous sinful thank you to a clean way. you're regenerated. Tit 3:5 no longer via works of righteousness which we've completed, yet in accordance to his mercy he saved us, via the bathing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; religious rebirth is what the greek potential via regeneration. with religious rebirth a individual would by no potential provide back their salvation to God. John made it sparkling in his writings that a individual who's between us being a christian and then leaves us by no potential belonged contained in the 1st place. 1Jo 2:18 little childrens, it relatively is the final time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; wherein all of us be attentive to that it is the final time. 1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, yet they weren't persons: for if that they were persons, they might little question have continued with us: yet they went out, that they may be made take place that they weren't all persons.

If Jesus death on the cross is the basis of our salvation then if we lost it wouldn't He have to be crucified again for us to regain our salvation? Some religions preach that salvation is based on good works and it can be lost if you sin. The bible is plain than salvation is by grace and not of ourselves. therefore we can't lost what Jesus gave His life for. Read Hebrews, Ephesians and check it out for yourself.

mark 13
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved .
key words "shall endure" they may not!

mark 13
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved : but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
even the elect can fall!

Luke 8
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved .
To take away out of the heart they had to have it there!

There are other hints as well!

Jesus said that those the Father gave to Him, He will never lose.
I think that you could lose your salvation if you turned your back on Jesus, however; if you really knew Jesus, you would never turn your back on Him.
It's just one of those things we will find the answer to when we reach heaven. If we think it is important then.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 17:12

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
