Hi Anissia...there are multiple reasons why a senior cat would begin to vomit bile, which makes it very difficult to determine without knowing a history by asking you more detailed questions. Generally, causes of vomiting could be either kidney failure, hypothyroidism, diabetes, cancer, eating a toxic plant or something as simple as allergies or sudden switch to new food. Only a vet can best determine why she could be doing this and the longer one waits the worse it could get for the well being of your kitty.

You need to take her the vet. If you don't have money, call nearest shelter and they should have a list of vets that may be able to assist you. She is probably getting dehydrated so putting a little pedialyte in the water may help and bland diet is also suggested.Your cat may also have a blockage or has eaten something bad for her, such as a toxic plant. Which means you can give her some burnt toast to help digestion and soak up any toxins.. But please take her to vet..

There is absolutely no way of telling what is wrong with your cat. Being older, it could be any number of things. Your cat can live to be in her 20's!! The best thing you can do for your cat is to have her examined by the Veterinarian and go from there. The more she vomits, the more dehydrated and sick she will become. Please make an appt.

Take her to the vet. Vomiting bile is not a good sign esp. given her age.

Sounds like it needs vet care. My dog would vomit bile when he wouldn't eat, once I got him on a eating routine he doesn't vomit anymore.

Oh dear, your kitty can't be feeling very comfortable!

Only a vet could tell for certain, but intestinal cancer is a possibility. Or it could simply be that she is growing allergies.

If she has the cancer, the kindest thing would be to have your kitty put down. I hate to sound hard-hearted- but this is coming from very hard experience.

The choice is yours. Good luck.

many old cats get cancer of the stomach and it gradually enlarges so she cant eat as much and cant hold it down. it might be something else, however. i suggest you pay for an examination and then if it is cancer, put her humanely to sleep and love her memory. cats are so nice. i know you love your cat. god bless you.
