The DVD player came with the red, white and yellow cables and my TV doesnt have the same thing. The DVD player DOES have an "s cable" outlet in it that looks like it may work. Can I hook the red, yellow and white cables to the VCR and do it that way? HELP!

I guarantee that if your TV does not have A/V (red/white/yellow)connections, it won't have a connection for S-video either. What you need is a modulator of some sort. Your TV set only has antenna inputs obviously so you need to change the output signal from your DVD player into a suitable format that your TV will accept. The VCR will work fine, just use the LINE IN on the VCR to the DVD A/V outputs.

you can hook the red white and yellow to vcr and then use coax to the tv if ya want, or you can go too radioshack or walmart and buy a converter....usually $10 and up

No, just get something called an RF modulator that will convert the DVD's composite signal(red, white, yellow) to the analog RF signal of your TV.

Yes, you can either run it through another device that is compatible with your TV or buy a converter. I had my DVD player going through my VCR for years.

I do not think so. Go to Radio Shack they may have an adapter for you.
