A note of information for the would be smart people, saying"I am not Catholic therefore......"Confession is not exclusive to the Roman Catholics. At least two other major denominations use the sacrament, namely Anglicans or Episcopalians have both public(general) confession and also private confession is available. The orthodox Churches, i.e. Russian and Greek also administer the sacrament.

I would like to confess that sometimes I don't let Jesus shine through. That I get self righteous and hurt people who most need my love. I'd like to confess that I'm not doing enough to move forward social justices such as helping the needy as much as I should, feeding and clothing the poor, being an ear to someone who needs someone to listen or giving enough time, energy, or money to important and worthwhile causes.
I also confess that sometimes I get so angry at right-wing Christians for being so hateful and rude to people they don't agree with that I end up being just like them because I'm intolerant of them and that is wrong.

I want to confess I hide my faith away, even from my own family. I also know I should preach the Bible openly, as is commanded in the Bible 'Go and preach the Word to all nations and peoples', but I don't. Because I know people will reject me and my message. I've also broken 5 of the 10 Commandments (before I put faith in Jesus and repented).

i must confess that although the tibetan buddhist monks i have trained with always emphasize compassion toward all creatures and tolerance of others, i still haven't overcome my serious loathing of the belief systems and behaviors of fundamentalists, especially islamic and christian. i'll keep trying ;-) oh, and also, notwithstanding her mature years, an insistent desire to perform oral sex "upon" jacqueline bisset. virgos only get better with age ;-)
