they sleep next to each other and play all day long. If they are in seperate rooms and the door is shut they will lay with their noses up against that door until someone opens it for them. It is so sweet:)

Yes it is. In fact, I've known cats who will raise and train puppies, and there was a dog the family used to have who positively adored kittens! She was such a big dog, and the chief danger was that she might swallow them in her over-enthusiasm to mother them!

not at all is that weird, I would like to see my 2 cats lay next to the dog but my cats were there first and they don't like the dog too much as she bullies them with drinking water and such. It is comical to watch them though, it is like watching tom and jerry cartoon. they tolerate the dog and that is about it. the dog fears the cats.

Nope, its not wierd. My cat and dog love eachother also. As long as they know eachother, there wont be a problem between the two species
