If I go to settings/control panel/display/desktop ....the 'browse option' is greyed out, and doesn't allow a desktop background change.
Alternatively, if I bring up a photograph on screen and do a right-click and choose 'Set as desktop background', this does not work either.

Sounds like someone locked the desktop.

Right click on the desktop and click "properties" the click "desktop". It should work then!

Perhapes there are viruses on your laptop or your replica of win7 isn't geniune you should circulate in photos library than precise click on any image document then set as laptop history

Get webshots it will change your pics up to every 15 minutes and you can put your own pic on it as well.It is a really good program for this scrennsaver & wallpaper

That's odd. Try unplugging it without first shutting down. That usually works for me!
