Ok so I am 13 years old. I know this guy and I see him alot and I REALLY REALLY like him! He is sooo cute, funny, and caring. I havent had a boyfriend since 5th grade Im in 8th now but....do you think I should ask him out myself? But the thing is Im totally shy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i understand that you really like him, and that's cool, and i was totally the same way when i was your age. (I'm 18 now) the whole time i was in high school, all i wanted was a boyfriend. i felt like i needed that acceptance, and i needed a boyfriend because that's what the world tells us to do--the world tells us we need a boyfriend and that there's something wrong with you if you don't have one. i never had a boyfriend during high school, even though i wanted one so badly. it ended up working for the best, God was preparing me to be a good girlfriend (i have a boyfriend now) He knew i wasn't prepared to be in a relationship...looking back on it, I'm soooo thankful i never had a relationship, i truly wasn't ready for one-it would've turned out disastrous to say the least!! so I'm saying all this to tell you that you should really think about if you should pursue a dating relationship so young (not saying you're not mature, but a lot of growing does happen from 13 to say 16 or 17) i HIGHLY recommend the book "i kissed dating goodbye" (i know the title sounds awful, the book really is good, i promise!) good luck!

Well if you dont want to ask him to his face send him an email or a text message or just casually ask him if he wants to hang out sometime a man likes a woman with confidence.

Sure, you can ask him out. Guys really do like that. Feel him out first, make sure that he really is flirting back and seems to like you, maybe hang out with him in a group situation first, who knows...maybe he'll make the first move! Good luck!
