I do 3 reps of 25 regular crunches, 25 side crunches to the left and 25 to the right. I do the same before bed every other day. What other excercises do you suggest to strengthen my core? HOw much should I increase my crunches every other day? I am not trying to loose weight and my stomach is flat, just not strong.

try yoga and pilates... you can buy a mat and dvd and do it at home, or go to a gym....

not only is it a good sorce of exercise, but its very relaxing...

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I do 3 mile walks with my dogs close to the sea coast or on the harbor, Its rather hassle-free, I pop in my ipod savor the view and get exercising, in some circumstances i deliver an prolonged a companion to talk with.. i could prefer to commence strolling. Watched my cousin drop a ton of weight from strolling!

Have you tried Pilates? There many core exercizes in the system. Try a class or get some DVD's.

Try Bryan Kest's Power Yoga - 6 minute abs. You won't need to do any crunches after you do this.

Are you doing any cardio? You need to to burn fat on top of your muscles. Try pilates. You really need to do something different - you muscles won't react to you doing the same thing all the time.

u have 2 do more than u can 2 build muscles....try 2 rly focus and grab hold of all ur energy 2 do ur excersizes
