Are you asking about a free web browser or an free ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

free software to browse the internet? You already have Internet Explorer (comes with Windows automatically) or you can downloand Firefox at www.mozilla.com

free internet connection (ISP)? You can just keep doing the "free trials" of AOL, MSN, etc. but they will require a debit or credit card to activate the trials, usually. I have gone through almost all of the "free ISPs" at one point or another and found that they aren't really worth it. You find one that's free and then 6 months later, they sell out to a "charge" company. Best bet is to find PeoplePC or some other local carrier that will only charge you a few dollars a month. OR find a friend who will let you borrow their computer. The library is another good place to get free internet (but you'll be restricted on some of the sites you can visit as well as much a more restrictive time limit).

The best you'll get will prob be a free trial of a dialup service. In the longrun it's not worth it. Almost all dialup software, especially aol, completely destroys computers. In fact AOL has been rated the #1 most destructive software ever created for a computer.

NetZero is free, limited to 10 hours a day.. however, you can always go to your public library and, if they have net there, you can use that and not pay...
