A couple weeks ago I was stung 3 times on the ankles by fire ants. Within a day my ankles swelled up so bad that you could no longer see any of the bones in my feet or ankles. The blisters were as wide as dimes, and the skin was so tight that if I moved my feet it would pop the blisters. The blisters would immediately refill as soon as they had popped. Now that the swelling has gone down I have 3 bruises the size of a half dollar in each of the places I was stung. I had been stung by fire ants before, but have never had a reaction at all like this. What does it mean? Should I go to the doctor for it?

I would say you need to be seen right away. If you wait it could cause an infection that could turn worse.

That's a more serious reaction than most. Try a standard dose of Benadryl for a day or two. If that doesn't work, or if the symptoms worsen, seek medical help.
