the only way to completely get rid of it is to click your start button, go to search, type in quick time and all file, apps, and evrything that has to do with quick time will come up, select them all and delete then empty your recycle bin--that will clear it out completely

Click on start and look for settings or Control Panel.
Select Control Panel and click on Add or Remove Programs.
Scroll down the list until you find Quick Time- highlight it with one left click and to the right will be a remove button. It may advise you to restart your computer to ensure all components are removed.

1- Start/All Programs/Control Panel, choose Quick Time, then Remove.
2- Start/Run, type in "regedit", then go to Edit/Find, type in "quick time", then delete all the entries associated with it. Press F3 to Find next, keep doing that, until it's gone
3- Go here http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-2001&qt=uninstaller&tag=srch, download one of those programs to uninstall quick time.
You can do all of the above to make sure it's all gone.
Hope this help

Start menu --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs, click on QuickTime and click Change/Remove.

Remember, though, that iTunes depends upon QuickTime, so if you use iTunes (especially with an iPod), then you don't want to get rid of QuickTime.

Let's face it, despite what anyone else says, you can't get rid of it. All you can do is format the drive.

Good luck.
