Chick, its all about the free will which means that even when we use our free will as Christians and try to do the right things it doesn't mean that we can control everything around us. I'm sorry to hear that you're having a bad time at the moment, life tends to work like that, sometimes its good and sometimes its bad. Its not so much what happens to us but how we deal with it that shows your true measure as person and if you're lucky enough to have faith, then this is something that you can fall back on to give you comfort and strength. Everything that happens contains a lesson somewhere and I truly believe that the saying that that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My grandmother was very Irish and very Catholic, but very wise and when I'm down I always remember what she told me which was ' this too will pass' and she was so right because it all passes in time. Don't doubt your faith, God or yourself, because those three things combined can be an awesome tool for overcoming any obstacle or problem that life throws at you. You will come through this Alex and it will pass, just hang on in there, fight the good fight and it'll all come right for you.

Sorry you are going through some bad stuff. God dosen't let us down. He is God. He allows things to happen yes. But how would we grow otherwise. I have had things happen to me or to people I love that I have asked why God?? Why are you doing this? And when I pray and reflect on them after the emotional part is over I find that if a certian thing didn't take place than it wouldn't have gotten me to where I am today. Sometimes bad things happen but good things come from them. It may seem lame but that is my experiance. Because if we got what we deserved God would not have sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we could spend eternity with him if we believe. I hope that you will seek God and pray we all have questions. Just ask him and don't feel bad about asking. That is what he is there for.

because even god can only do so much! and he only intervenes when he sees that he really needs too! besides he lets us exercise our own free will and so much of what happens is affected by our own choices and if you choose to let bad things happen to you or to do bad things then god can not change that because you made the choice for it to happen! the same thing with the blessings in life they too are affected by our personal choices! God does not let anyone down he mearly chooses to let us live our lives on our own as he gave us the right to do! And he answers our prayers sometimes and sometimes he chooses not to give us the answer we want but the answer that must be!

God can be everything in your world, but have you tell Him to be part of your life. You have to accept Jesus in your heart, repent of all your sins and ask him to come to your heart.
Sometimes bad things happens to all of us, even as Christians. It always has a purpose even when we don't deserved it or what we did wrong or if we did something wrong. God has mysterious ways but everything helps for good. Keep trusting Him. He knows best.

You say you love God more than anything. That's a big statement. I am not doubting you though. I believe you get out of this life what you put in. In other words we reap what we sow. We are all of a sin nature and it is impossible for us to be perfect. Sometimes, maybe bad things happen to get our attention about something that we need to change in our lives. I don't know ,that's just my opinion.

God isn't "letting " you down.. In actuality he's lifting you up!!! he is giving you these experiences in life to learn something from them....So, He is giving you STRENGTH AND WISDOM. You are going to be a very well I'm sorry honey but life throws you lemons you just have to make lemonade.
You are going to be a strong, smart and wise old man.. I promise you. Just take things day by day and understand that GOD has His reasons. You will understand why someday.

God isn't like a genie in a bottle. He doesn't do everything we ask Him to do, because it's not always His will.
We will suffer in life, but God will always be there to help us get through tough times, even if He doesn't completely change things.
Just pray for the grace to get through everything with a joyful heart, no matter what it is, and I beleive you'll see how God is working in your life.

I'm Christian, and i don't reali know much about your religion, but know that man should not live by bread alone, but by the word of God. He uses the situation to tell us something, to teach us, to test us, and to lead us even. Many in the Bible went through turbulent times but still made it, because they had faith, and because they do what is right. Eg, Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Elijah... u might want to read the Bible on their stories perhaps it will help u?

Read the story of Job. God lets us exercise free will. This means some will choose evil and that evil will affect others. We prove our love for God and each other by not letting this affect us to the point of giving up. Get it?
