Hey I'm meican, I live in Mexico City, and I'm not poor in fact I believe I do very well I go to Vegas at the Venetian every now and then, I live a nice life I have a nice car a Peugeot they don't sell those in the States it's a french car. Many of my friends live in the same situation.

We're not completely poor the thing is that there is a broad difference between the poor people and the people with money.

80% of the people in Mexico are extremely poor, we have the poorest community on earth poorer than Africa, we have natives living in the jungle with no electricity water or any kind of service. Most of the people live with under one dollar.

So you tell me are we poor is it all a facade?. I dont think so.

Mexico is a country with valuable mineral resources. Many of the people in Mexico are poor but that is partly to do with poor governance - As a virtual vassal state of the USA Mexico's ruling government has tended to reach power with the support of the USA - their policies have therefore tended to be compromised.

Mexico's minimum wage is about $4.30 a day, or about $100 a month.
Legal and illegal Mexicans in the USA send home $18 billion in "American-made" money each year and labor (people) is now Mexico's biggest export after oil. In several states of Mexico, the total amount sent home from the USA was greater than the total salaries of everyone working in the formal sector of the economy. In other words, the citizens receive more money sent from the USA by their families in the USA than from salaries paid to employees.

Mexico is NOT a poor country. It has the fifth richest economy in the world, and by sending its teeming masses to our country, that status keeps on rising. Mexico has more resources per square mile than the U.S. and plenty of money to take care of its own people. Why should the taxpayers of this country subsidize Mexico's corruption?

Mexico is a beautiful rich country, it's been the corruption of thier Government and the neglect to their people that has taken a toll on the country.
If their Government put more into thier people, they would not be fleeing else where.

No they are NOT poor !! Just managed wrong, if Mexico wasn't as corrupt as it is they would be a major player globally!! They would and could be a super power, if they could just get rid of the corrupt leaders.
