It appears God is the one to do the cleansing.
Isaiah 4:4
The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Proverbs 16:2
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

You have to either reject the spirits or have them cast out....... they do not convert into clean ones...
There is only one "clean" spirit...the holy spirit....he cannot dwell inside of you until the others are gone.

Why would you want to? DEMONS OUT! You don't bargain with the unclean, you cast them OUT. What is the nature of your unclean spirits, anyway? And why do you want to keep them around? What have they done for you, lately? Good luck getting rid of them - one who wants to keep them around rarely succeeds.
