Adoption costs vary. At the Houston SPCA they are about $75.00.

At SPCA... each state is different depending on how high the adoption rate is... It can average from $60-$100.

Adopting a dog is so good. I had my dog for years and it was the best dog I've ever owned...so loving and sweet!

When adopting a dog through a pet adoption agency. The price varies from place to place. Each adoption agency has their own set price on adoption. Contact your local animal shelter, animal adoption agency, or vet. Price varies like I said from place to place and also varies due to age, sex, breed, health, neutered/spayed or not, and so many other things. Sometimes a lot of agency's will run specials on adoption prices. Good luck.

In my area prices arrange from $45 up to $350

If you are getting it from an animal shelter, you will have to pay for initial vaccination and they may ask for a donation. It doesn't cost that much, depending on where you get it from. It's after you get it home, that is starts costing a lot. I love animals though, and feel they are worth the money.

I'm quite sure some animal shelters would give them away free. Especially if they were about to put them to sleep. There are a lot of strays running around too. But if you do get one of those make sure to take him/her to the clinic.
