I have to lose weight by december. I have to lose at least 20 pounds. What kind of exercise that can really shred pounds? I have no time but wants to find time. Thanks

I would highly recommend The South Beach Diet. It is all about High Glycemic Index foods, no refined sugar, and learning that a diet shouldn't be labeled a diet but you should learn to eat as a way of life. I lost 23 lbs. on SB without incorporating exercise - when I did incorporate exercise - I lost the last 10 easily. It's been 4 years, I still maintain a balance of eating the SB way - I have cut out sugar, white flour, processed food, sodium, and replaced everything with fresh food.

Here is my recommendation: try SB for 2 weeks, if you already exercise, then keep it up, if you don't then don't worry about it yet. After two weeks, see what you have accomplished, set another goal - that's the trick - don't look at it as having to lose 30 lbs by December. Do 5 lb. goals and give yourself something as a reward - like a new lipstick!

Best of luck -
Michelle

I'm hypoglycemic and my dad and aunt are diabetic. All 3 of us have been doing the Cambridge Diet and are all finding TREMENDOUS success. I've lost 30 lbs since July, my aunt has lost 50 since May and my dad is just getting started but has watched his blood sugar drop from 200+ to 130 in a few days time after starting the diet. Picky old dad even LIKES the stuff! See the link below for more details and if physician data is needed just email and they'll send it to you so you can take it to your doctor. I'm doing the Fast Start program (see "The Diet" at link below) but dad chose The Maintenance Program to ensure his diabetes remained in control. Best of luck to you, if you choose this diet you absolutely WILL lose 20 lbs by December. I lost 17 in the first 3 weeks and my physician was thrilled. No more high blood pressure and high cholestorol either!

diet pills are not the answer for anyone!! eek! why would any one want more chemicals than absolutely necessary? Best bet for weight loss, diabetic or not, insulin or not, is just plain hard work! Get serious about some form of exercise! Belly dancing classes might be just the answer! Everyone I know who is in belly dancing has lost weight!! and they are having fun too. If that isn't for you, try some other form of dancing! Swimming? You can do this! then change your food plan so that you are taking in far fewer calories from empty carbs than you are burning!!!

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. After reading this I want to share something because I spent many years jumping from diet to diet without experiencing any real results until I saw Pams magic plan (google it). It is without a doubt the most weight loss that I have ever achieved and it is still working to this day.
