Catholics are Christians. It is just the narrow minded paranoids that don't think so.

Catholics were the first Christians.

I used to be a Protestant Christian and now am Catholic.

Catholics believe that we have the descendency of the 12 Apostles and that Jesus set up the Church and made Peter the first Pope.

Catholics follow the Bible and Apolistic tradition and believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Catholics believe that we should confess our Sins to God through a Priest or Bishop. Catholics normally put more importance in attending Mass every week.

Catholics tend to honor the Virgin Mary more, (although we do NOT worship her)

The Catholic Church has a Magesterium, and Catechism of the Catholic Church both of which are printed in black and white and detail what we believe is right and wrong.

Protestants go more with a personal relationship with Jesus.

There are many really good people out there that are Protestant and Catholic. There really is not much difference between Catholics and many of the Protestant groups.

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are some minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

Well, Christians and Catholics fall under the same religion (Christianity). I am not sure of all differences but as a Christian I am sure that some main differences involve salvation, Jesus and the belief in the afterlife. As a Christian (penecostal/holiness faith) we believe that Jesus is the Messiah and that we can ONLY get to God through Jesus. We pray in Jesus' name not in Mary's. We believe that you must confess that Jesus is the Son of God and believe that He was raised from the dead for the redemption of our sins. We also believe that after we die that either you enter into Heaven of Hell dependin upon your faith and belief in Jesus ... not by your works. We do not believe as some Catholics do (I think) that there are different levels of hell. I hope I helped in some way.

Christians are people who have accpeted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Some Catholics are Christians and some are not. This is true no matter what group you use. Some people who belong to a certian church are Christians while others may not be.

Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and Non-denominationals are all Christians. They all follow the teachings of Christ and believe in Him as Lord and Savior. Catholicism was the first organized religion and all other Christian religions came from that as an initial result of the Protestant Reformation. As for all the different denominations, we worship differently, but we're all in the body of Christ.

It's a bunch of bollocks that Catholics are not Christians. Christianity is the belief in Christ, in God. Catholics, Lutherans, Protestants, etc. are all BRANCHES of Christianity in which the belief system has slight variations from branch to branch.
Basically, everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and God are Christians.

Catholics fall under the broad category of Christians. Like most Christian denominations, they have their own form of worship. Their ideas may differ slightly due to interpretation and the inclusion of certain ceremonies, etc. that are unique to Catholicism.

Catholics are the only christians that can trace their lineage back to the apostles, unless of course you believe the mormans who claim that the apostle peter restored the key of the gospel to joseph smith personally
