Just replace the gas struts. They arent too expensive and may save yourself a headache (from the door slamming on you ). Just pull off and snap the new ones on. They do take some pressure to snap back on. Use a twist to get them off. Dont use a screwdriver to pry them off.

Go to any good auto parts store and ask for the gas lifts for your car. The replacements will include instructions for changing them out. Easy job. Not too expensive.

Those are generally not repairable. You may want to check out the Toyota dealership parts dept. or one of the big auto parts store like Advance Auto parts or NAPA for replacements.

Yes, you can go to the parts shop, but, you can also go to a salvage yard, ie, junkyard, here in the South, and find the same parts there, for less.

that is a very easy problem to fix. go to the parts store and tell them you need to replace them and when you get them they usually just pop off and on. they are very simple to change.
