no one can prove that god exsists? they keep telling you and keep saying the bible says so but have no proof to back it up. then they can get it through their thick heads that if they had just a tiny bit of proof that people might start to change their minds. that some of us can't just accept things on blind faith?

Because for us to not believe challenges the fundamental teaching of their holy book. Their holy book asserts that all people, believers and nonbelievers, believe in God.

That we do not, in fact, believe in god, not inwardly, not outwardly, but with every ounce of our being KNOW that there is no god, makes them question the core concept of their faith -- that everyone shares it.

The only proof they can come up with is to quote from their Bibles, as if that's 'proof'. It's only 'proof' if the Bible is true. So let's see them prove the Bible is true. They can't, they can only say, "But the Bible says it is true!"

"This is J.P.'s Bible. It is perfectly correct. J.P. may kill anyone he likes. Anyone else who kills will go to hell. anyone who questions J.P.'s Bible will go to hell. This Bible is correct 100%, because it was given to man DIRECTLY from the Divine (who is named Bob)!"

See how easy it is to write a Bible that no one can disprove?

I believe that the existence of God is the only rational conlusion even without the bible. No I am not an atheist. I am open for persuasion, though. As I posted on another question I will be willing to declare myself as an atheist if anyone anywhere anytime can answer these questions.

Atheistic scientists state that all things came into creation at the point of the BIG BANG. But they have no answer for what was before the BIG BANG. So here's one question. If at some point in time there was nothing and then there was suddenly something, where did that something come from? I'm all ears.

Oh, yeah. But you might say it didn't come from anywhere. Matter has always existed. WOW. That sounds very similar to a Christian concept. It's called eternity. And that's where God exists in a spiritual sense.

Now question 2. If matter always existed before the BIG BANG but in a quiet non explosive form where did the energy come from that changed matter from non explosive to explosive. All scientists will concur that no chemical reaction can occur to change the state of energy of a chemical without being acted upon by an addition of some type of outside energy. So where did the energy come from to set off the BIG BANG.

Atheistic scientists love the laws of nature that they have "discovered" until those very laws lead them to the ultimate source of all knowledge --- God. At that point they tend to conveniently ignore the very same laws

I know this question is not directed at me but here is my opinion anyway. There is no way to prove the existence of God. I can certainly see why many people question His existence. I would never attempt to change any person's mind regarding the existence of God. I would love, however, to change the mind of those who believe that their way is the only way. There a lot of believers that are certain that the bible was written by men and in no way is inspired by God. I don't care if you believe or not. Personally, I don't think that He cares either. I know that I will see you on the other side, our souls will live on. You are certainly free to disagree. None of us really knows for sure, though, do we?

They can't prove god's existance because it's hard to prove something that isn't there. On the other hand, it's hard to disprove religions because they require "faith" and a certain amount of selective memory and hearing that's impossible to get through using raw facts.

Can you prove to a blind man that "red" exists? Can you prove to the deaf man that "classical music" exists? Can you prove an atom exists without the tool in which to see it? Can you prove heat exists to the person without the senses of touch and temperature?

No, it is impossible, because the tools necessary are not present.

But, if the blind were to see, the deaf to hear, the microscope invented, the nerves rejoined... they could understand such things.

And so, the tool to understand the supernatural, and the proof of God, is the sense called "faith". If you choose to seek, you will find. If you choose to see, you will be shown.

Until the man takes the blindfold off, the color "red" will eternally remain a mystery to him, and will seem as nonsense.

You accept things on blind faith everyday.......you probably drive a car, and if you drive a car you probably go through those pretty lights that change colors every so often. When you're at a red light and it turns green, why? You accept on blind faith, that because it is your turn to go, the people with the red light will stay put and not hurt you. And if you could, PROVE to me how everything came into being. You can't, so stop asking for proof when you can't even do it yourself.

Tallica13's answer was so stupid that I had to respond. Just to say that it was stupid. How is it faith to say that someone will stop at a red light? You, as the person with the green light, know that he person with the red light is supposed to stop because the law states that they have to, you also know that they may not stop which is why some people wait about 3 seconds before they move. Idiot!!!!!!

well The verses seem to say that the very creation says that there is a creator and that man willingly has chosen to ignore that fact and make up their own version. God makes himself available to those that seek him.. You may want God to do things your way, but HE will not. You either get it his way or not at all. This is not blind faith, there is too much evidence right before our eyes that say there is a creator, you have just believed a bunch of made up stories to avoid having to deal with God. Keep on believing as it is your priveledge for now..

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

I think that to prove something to someone, that someone must be
open to the proof that exists.to be able to reason,to take in the
knowledge that is there and try to fit it into the world around you.
for instance;the bible has been with us for thousands of years, yet
many, many, people scoff at its truths, and teachings.now, it is not
my aim to shove anything down anyone's throat.I merely speak of
what I have learned and come to understand, and hence pass it on
to others.weather they choose to want to learn or seek further
proof of what I find to be the truth,is entirely up to them.again I
would site another example;"But know this, that in the last days
critical times hard to deal with be here.for men will be lovers of
themselves, lovers of money,self- assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents unthankful disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement,
slanderers, without self- control, fierce, without love of goodness,
betrayers,head strong,puffed up with pride,lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God,having a form of godly devotion but
proving false to its power;and from these turn away."IF one just
looks around themself at what is happening in the world "today"
I believe they can see alot of truth in the scriptures sited.2tim.3:1,5.of course that is just 1 example, there are many
more.

Proof God exists

The question is, “Can you prove God exists?” or some variation on that query. To fairly answer and consider the factual evidence, a definition must be agreed to. We must establish who God is, then weigh the verifiable evidence for His existence.

Since I am a Biblical Christian who believes in a Living God, He is The One God that I will share tangible evidence for. I will not address the existence of any other god(s) who I do not believe exist. This God of which I speak is the creator and intelligent designer of the universe. Since the question is not about what God has done, we do not need to discuss His attributes. We only need to consider His existence.

WHO is God?

Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God. My proof for that statement is found in the following references.

1. CHRIST'S DIRECT CLAIMS TO DEITY - Matthew 26:63-64, John 14:9, John 8:58 (cf. Exodus 3:14), John 12:45, John 10:30-33,36,38, Mark 14:61-64 (cf. Daniel 7:13-14), John 13:20, (cf. Psalm 110:1), John 14:9, Luke 22:70, John 10:30-33,36,38 & John 13:20

2. CHRIST'S INDIRECT CLAIMS TO DEITY - ( His authority) Matthew 28:18; John 8:28, (Forgiver of sin) Mark 2:5-7; Matthew 9:2-7; Luke 7:48, (Generally) John 5:17-18, John 5:23, 23, John 8:19, John 14:1

3. CHRIST'S CLAIM TO DIETY CONFIRMED BY OTHERS - Matthew 27:43, John 20:28, John 19:7, Acts 7:59, Matthew 16:15-17, John 1:49, John 1:34, Mark 5:7, Acts 2:36, ("I implore you the God."), John 11:27

4. CHRIST'S ACCEPTANCE OF WORSHIP AS GOD

Matthew 8:2 -- Leper worshipped Him
John 9:35-39 -- Man born blind, after being healed, "worshipped him."
Matthew 14:33 -- Disciples worshipped him
Matthew 2:11 -- Magi worshipped Him
Angels are commanded to worship Christ (Hebrews 1:6, 8)

5. DIRECT SCRIPTURE SHOWING THAT JESUS IS GOD - John 1:1, Romans 9:5, Philippians 2:6, 9-11, Isaiah 9:6 (Messiah called Yahweh) (cf. Isaiah 45:23), Matthew 28:19 (Note name is singular), Titus 2:13, Hebrews 1:10 (see Psalm 102:25-27), II Thessalonians 1:12, II Peter 1:1, Luke 3:22, Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:1, I John 5:20, Hebrews 1:8, Colossians 1:19, John 20:30-31, Hebrews 4:14, Colossians 2:9, Luke 8:39

Now that I have shown that Jesus is God, all we need is to prove He existed. The extra-Biblical evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is verified by the following contemporary historical evidence sources; Flavius Josephus, Thallus, Phlegon, Pliny the Younger, Cornelius Tacitus, Suetonisu and Mara Bar-Serapion. God exists.
