You want my Suggestion?

Go to College and take the full ride. Then Join the military on the Loan repayment program. You will be an enlisted Soldier with a Bachelors, but you will serve 5 to 6 years and not have to repay the loans.

Sweet deal, check it out

I don't see why not. The real question is if it will help you in what you want to do? Joining the military will help pay for your college education which is a good thing. You should conduct research and weight the pros and cons of joining the military before going to college as opposed to joining the Reserves while going to college or doing ROTC in college, or even not doing the military at all.

okay, not great. first off, from my experience, the older you get, the less u want 2 go 2 school. (my two cousins haven't gone to school for over 4 yrs. & they have been saying they would go 2 school, but haven't done a damn thing) second, u have a lower probability of getting accepted by the colleges, the older u get. so i would suggest not joining the military before college. hope this helps =)

Yes, as long as you ensure that your job will enhance youre future. Too many people think that the military equals only death and killing. Realistically, only a small fraction of mil. personnel engage the enemy at all, most are in a position of support. As a combat vet. from Vietnam, I know that the worst soldier to be next to in a combat sit is one who is not meant to be there. Only a few men are really able to do the things ordinary men cannot, and those are true combat soldiers. Don't volunteer for anything you don't believe in or are not prepared to handle. Good luck the rat

They can actually pay for your college. You can go to college through the military. My brother is doing that right now. You have to go through boot camp first, then basic training (in whatever field you choose), and then after that you can go to school, and they will pay for it. They also give you a bonus for joining.

Yes, and with the GI bill you may get some money for college. Although, if I did it, I'd find some way to do something that complemented what I'd want to study in college + try to stay out of Iraq or Afghanistan.
