I was in a town surrounded by woods and all the animals (bears, mooses, squirrels) from the woods were running through town.

it means that you're afraid 2 different aspects in your life are going to collide. are you cheating on a girlfriend? or do you live a party life around some people and a more tame life around others? It happens to a lot of people. They're a corporate banker by day, and they like to loosen their tie and be a party person at night. Maybe hiding a lifestyle from your family that you'd rather them not know about? in any case, the dream means that you live 2 different lifestyles and you dreamt about them colliding.

You didn't give much detail about the dream or this dream has no significant meaning. However, I can analyze a bit about what it means.

Animals (wild animals) = dangers, responsibilities around
surrounded by woods = needs protection

Probably it means that you are seeking for protection in reality. By projecting these wild animals could mean you can't face responsibilities and you subconsciously try to escape from.. Being surrounded means you have all these problems / troubles around you and you may not know how to handle it.

That could mean a myriad of things. You can look up dream books or look online for meanings of dreams, but there's also something else. Lots of times, your dreams come from deep inside your subconscious and finding the actual reason for having the dream can be difficult to say the least, maybe impossible. However, something very important that you can always look at is HOW THE DREAM MADE YOU FEEL. Your reaction to the situation is something you know and can articulate. Many cryptic dreams can spin a person in a web trying to figure out why they had the dream, when the most important thing is how the dream made you feel. Your dreams come from your subconsious. Many times you will dream about things you have been thinking about, yes, but all that means is that they are more prevailent in your subconscious. Consciously thinking about something also puts puts it into your subconscious, so it's only natural that you'd dream about things on your mind sometimes. Dreams may give you all sorts of feelings, and those are the real purposes behind your dreams. They help you express things that you normally would not. If you have a lingering feeling of despair but avoid expressing it, your dreams will do it for you. Your dreams only help, and if you wake up feeling scared or depressed, trust me when I say it's only necessary and always good for you.

Means you either want to go camping or want to have a BBQ this weekend. Not sure which. The key will be in what types of structures there were in the town.

Back in my day, if we had dreams, we kept them to ourself. Except for old Howard Longjohns. He always had a town meeting to discuss his dreams of becoming a scuba diver. But we all lived in the desert and we liked it.
