OK, so I went to see my doctor a month ago and he basically told me that my oxygen level is really low and that I failed my breathing test. He showed me a chart of how I should be breathing. For the average healthy person there was a huge peak and I pretty much flat lined it. Anyway, I completely dismissed the oxygen thing until now. Yesterday my ring finger felt numb and my nails turned blue-ish purple, so I left school early and went home, I felt really tired but didn't go to sleep until about 9. My family won't be able to get my medicine until Friday and my left hand is turning purple again. I don't want to leave school again but I don't know what else to do either. Help . . .

My oxygen level is also low, but you also have to improve the oxygen going to your cells. First do deep breathng exercise, lay on your back and take a deep breath counting to 4, then hold for 4 and let it out for 4. Do that for 10 minutes, it might make you light headed because the oxygen to your brain is increased.
You should get from the drug store Spirulina/Blue Algae and take those as per direction. They don't taste good but they increase the oxygen in your blood. But if your hand is purple you need to go the emerge.

First off you need to call you Dr. ASAP. My mom has COPD and due to low oxygen she has to be on it. There are also (not sure what they are called) the things that go on your finger that lets you know what your oxygen level is. You may need a breathing treatment, etc. There are many things that could be causing you these problems. Did you Dr. diagnose you with anything? If so google it , look it up and that may also give you some answers.
As far as you meds not being able to be gotten until FRIDAY. Ask the Dr. about samples sometimes if they know a patient is not able to get them right away they will help. Seeing a lung specialist may also help you. Also if you smoke Stop immediately!
Hope everything works out for you. Have a Great Day!

Sounds like you've got a hemoglobin problem, or that your lungs are not capable of processing the oxygen you're taking in. Your doctor should have prescribed medication to help you with your breathing issues, and waiting for your medication is NOT an option!!!

That purplish-blue color you're seeing is your tissues DYING from LACK OF OXYGEN. If you wait too long, and Friday would certainly fall into that category, then you run the risk of losing body parts.

Talk to your doctor. NOW!!!

If your Oxygen is VERY LOW YOURE NOT BREATHING WELL. You probably need BREATHING TREATMENTS AND INHALER TO CARRY WITH YOU. You could either be Asthmatic or have upper respiratory infection or pneumonia

For now, you should relax and if you are not feeling well, you should go home.

You need to get your meds ASAP! YOu should not have let it go this long. Decreased oxygyn levels will damage your heart and put you at risk for a stroke.
