Try to match the color with a dye. Sponge the dye onto the spot and let dry. It's worth a try!

It isn't too hard to patch in a piece of the carpet if you can get a scrap that is larger than the stain. Sometimes carpet stores will give you this piece from their "leftovers". I had a similar problem at work and it cost $25 to have some carpet guy to fix the problem. Looks fine, even years later. (There was extra carpet since much of the office building had the same carpet on many of the floors. Perhaps your apartment/home could also have extra carpet remants around too.) This also depends on the condition of the carpet that is in the room. Your landlord might need to replace the carpet anyway when you leave. So it might not be an issue any way. But If you can't get a scrap piece of carpet you might have to admit that there is a bleach spot.
Good luck.

Depending on what color it is, say for example if it is beige or tan, you can "stain" that spot using 2 tea bags per 8 oz of water, depending how large the spot is. Try it, hope it helps
