my friends cat attacked his girl friend the other day and she started bleading from it. so he took out his hunting good and shot the cat. do you people think that is right or wrong? i feel kinda sad cause i liked playing with his cat when i came over. he did bury it though.

it is right. you cannot train a cat and if it cannot behave it doesn't belong. the cat will do it to his next girlfriend or family member and so on until it's dead and someone has to do it. I will not be sued for personal injury on account of my pets. However, it may depend a little on how he used the gun if he was reckless about it or tormented the cat just before he killed it. If so, thet guy will soon be behind bars for something more serious. If he did it in a way that was safe to everyone else and discrete about it then he was responsible. Reminds me of the farmer who killed his goat because it was knocking down and mounting his wife. Dont tell anyone I ran over an armidillo this morning and left it there in the road.

How long did he have this cat? Did it ever do that to anyone before? It sounds kind of harsh to me....if he felt that the cat was really a danger to people then he should of had it euthanized. But if this was a one time thing and the cat just reacted this way once, then what he did was definitely wrong. He could of given the cat away before killing it!!!

totally wrong and against the law in some countries. what world are you people living in? this kind of reminds me of how stingrays were killed after Steve Irwin's death...
really now, wake up! killing any animal, for whatever reason, is WRONG! he should have taken the cat to a vet, see what could have been the problem, and at least try to find a solution. what he did was hasty, selfish and immoral...
I'm so sorry to hear of such things. people like your friend destroy all the work of the wonderful people trying to save animals. do remember that Steve Irwin was one of them, and people who go killing animals in an access of fury just ... just make such deaths as Irwin's appear worthless...

that is totally not ok. Cat's instinctually scratch and attack a threatening or unliked animal or person. He had no right to take his life for doing what cats do. It's not like the cat killed her, this is a terrible situation.

THATS HORRIBLE! not only do animals not have the same reasoning abilities as us but maybe she irritated the cat and provoked it. killing it was not the answer giving it away maybe but that sounds psycho to kill a cat over some scratches. i think his girlfriend needs to wonder if he over reacted with an animal like that hows this guys tempers gonna play out with babies or her.

no. it could have been something wrong witht the cat that made it freak out like that. if it was a vicious cat then he should have given it to someone. or put it up for adoption. thats like saying, when you are disciplining your teenager and they try to attack you that its ok to blast them with an AK47. no it is not ok. and he is probably just going to break up with that trick anyways. everyone knows that she doesnt really like him. and she is really evil on the inside. their relationship has been on again off again anyways. he's made a terrible mistake. plus shes sleeping with Jeff (the dude with the hair).

well at least he cares more about his gf then his cat. yes the cat needed to be shot. all cats should be shot. i hate cats. i am scared of cats. they freak me out. they are trying to pass a law that at certain times a year there is open game on cats. to cut down on the stray cat population. kill the cats.
