I bought 2 donuts a couple days ago and left them in the refrigerator, so they could be eaten later. Now, they are hard as rocks. How can I re-hydrate them, so that they will be edible?

btw....they are coconut covered chocolate donuts....yum yum

Grosse man, buy a fresh one.
That s got tobe the most disgusting thing ever, worse than my mate who makes hotdogs in the microwave.
The thing that makes a fresh donut soft is the fat in it, when you put in fridge it goes hard, like butter you know, so go on dip you old dried thing in a bucket of hot oil /fat and then it will be fresh again, or .... just buy a new one for like 3 for $2 or something.

Place them in a brown paper bag and microwave them on low for about 20 to 30 seconds.

Place them on the sidewalk, and take a baseball bat and beat the crap out of them.

When you are done, look at them, you will be motivated to do what you should have done in the first place, go buy some fresh.

Now go do the right thing.

Wrap them in toweling and microwave them for 30 seconds, but check them after 15 seconds and you should be fine. You can also dunk them in warm coffee.

leave them out for a while, or you put them in the microwave for a very short time as needed and let them cool down a bit.

actually the process of 'going stale' is the absorption of water. if they were for instance plain. unglazed cake donuts you could bake them for a few minutes and they would taste fresh made. you can do this with breads too.

microwaving is simply boiling the water inside them.
