Ok...most of you have wrong information. Leiberman is out as a dem for many reasons, only one of which is the Iraq war, but in that same vein, he also stood up with Bush when he said that anyone disagreeing with the administration, was basically a traitor to his country.
One of our strongest, pro military democrats, John Murtha, has made the case for staying in Iraq....his plan calls for backing out "to the horizon" and being ready, in case the entire region goes beserk. He also says to take extra troops and put them where they belong, in Afghanistan. Many Democrats believe this as well. The right wing will have you believe that to be Democrat means to be against any and all military action. A complete misrepresentation of the facts at hand. As for Leiberman, he also campaigned for Bush's failed attempt at privitizing Social Security. Basically, he became a lapdog for Bush. That's why he's on the outside looking in.

That was the same position Kerry had. You have been confused by whatever conservative news source you use. It is not the Democrat position to pull out of Iraq immediately or totally. Just scale it back and let the Iraqis take over. Yes it would mean a civil war, but guess what, a civil war is what is already happening there.

Yes. Lieberman is not the only Democrat who has been in favor of not pulling out of Iraq just yet. It's mainly the party line, but it's not the only topic on the ballot. Lieberman has simply drifted away from too many topics for the party to still want him.

You might vote democratic but if you do not support the parties agenda verbatim they do not want you (just ask Joe Lieberman and the legion of conservative democrats they kicked out.)

Congratulations on realizing that by just pulling out the issues would be made worse. Since the democrats don't want independent thinkers go to www.lp.org and see if you like what you see.

Yes. Untill we get a democrat in office we probably don't know the real story or whole story of why we are in Iraq and why we can't pull out immediatly. The only thing we can be sure of with this administration in office is that we are not there for iraqy freedom.

Sure John, but I wouldn't run for office on it as most democrats know that being in Iraq is a bad move. But democrats are the party of inclusion and you are welcome to your thoughts, If it was the other way and you were a repuglican wanting to pull out of Iraq you would be guilty of treason to the repuglican party. So just thank god you are a democrat and able to believe as you wish.

Yes were a party of ideals not dogma that's what republicans are for. A little disagreement now and then is good for the mind. However we expect a better answer than stay the course. That horse is long dead.
