I have enough of the white kind,I was just asking if they are interchangeable? I know, it is a dumb ? but I need to know b4 I use the red kind and make a drastic mistake! ps, these recipes are also eggless, like cakes and desserts. what relation does eggs/ vinegar have to do with each other?

cider and white have the same acidity so they are interchangeable. The acid in the vinegar will denature, or for lack of a better term cook, the eggs. Its the same process as ceviche.

vinegar helps to break down the egg when mixing with water

also: if your recipe is on the Savoury end of the scale as opposed to the Sweet, I think it would be ok to switch the vinegars

cider vinegar has a stronger taste and smell... i'd use white if it asks for white, otherwise your food may taste totally like vinegar! ick!

Yes, you can but the taste would not be mild as the wine vinegar.

I wouldn't, but it is possible. They will affect the taste of your foods differently.

it will DEFINITELY change the flavor of whatever you are making, but you can if you want to.
