Usually no, and never in the high classical period, when Mozart wrote. Pieces featuring solo instruments (or small sets of featured instruments) accompanied by orchestra were typically referred to as concerti (singular "concerto"). Despite one respondent's wrong information, sonatas generally have three movements, not four (one fast, one slow, another fast).

no, they dont. The piano concertos, are like a sonata but with orchestra.
