No it does not. What you do above the scalp does not change the follicle or your genetics. It will feel thicker for a short while because all the regrowth will be the same length. After growing this out for a while- your natural shedding process will catch up and it will feel the same as before you shaved it. (minus previous damage that you had before the shave)

No, it just seems like it because the ends are so blunt. If you want your hair thicker try using body building products in your hair and keep it trimmed regularly. That way it will be healthier too. And shaving is a bit drastic just to get thick hair.

No. It's a misconception. The hair appears rough and thicker because the blunt cut end of the hair isn't as gentle as the other hair on your body. Generally, once you start shaving a body part, you have to continue. I suggest wax or laser removal.

it definitely comes back healthier

which is logical really because your basically 'starting again' so to speak.

mine definitely did come back thicker after i shaved my head.

but a friend of mine who also shaved her head did not experience this.

body hair seems to thin after long repeated shaving.

I have heard that and they say it's just an old wives tale-so I guess the answer is no.
