I am trying to figure out why woman work out. Do they care about their appearance? Do they just want to be healthy?

I work out to look good and feel good. I feel more positive about myself and my life in general when I work out. I've just come out of a period of not working out because of surgery, and I feel really blah right now because of it. I can't wait to start working out again.

Sure I care about my appearance...but I work out more for the health benefits. I know I have to grow old...everyone does...but I do not want to grow feeble...and in order to do this I must stay active. Not to mention the fact that neither of my parents made it to age 60. *eeks* quite the murky gene pool...but a lot of their problems was lifestyle.
Besides...I have this smokin' booty right now that I've never had in my LIFE!!! *woo hoooo* It feels real good at age 45 to get my butt checked out! hehehe!

I work out for both reasons but mainly to look good. I am basically healthy anyway. I just like to be toned.

Personally I work out to stay thin and healthy. I find working out to be a natural high...

When my mother was diagnosed with osteoporosis, I started freeweight training to strengthen my bones so I won't have it too.
